As per the thread title, could anyone help me with the cheapest tickets for this trip please. I'd be travelling on a Saturday with no railcards or season tickets. The best I've come up with so far is £12.40 return East Croydon - Blackwater, plus single Ash - Alderstot £2.70, totalling £15.50.

What I hate about all the new booking websites I've used is they force you to select particular trains, even when the fare you're booking doesn't require this. With classic WebTIS you don't have to select a train unless required by the fare to do so, thus it's clear whether you can travel on...

So which websites still use the classic WEBTIS interface? I find it by far the easiest, yes all the sites that used to use it - Southern, Southeastern and now it seems East Coast are changing to something almost unusable.

I need to travel from Southampton to Emsworth, then return from Portsmouth Harbour the same day. As far as I can see a Southampton - Emsworth ticket is valid for break of journey at Portsmouth Harbour - can someone please confirm? Are there any cheaper ways of doing these journeys?
