    government to change punctuality rules

The TOCs might want to insert more padding but it's NR who do the pathing... and if they say that adding x amount of padding will reduce the capacity of said line they they probably won't allow it

ONE was also an NX company... as was MML, Central Trains etc. Don't hear so many complaints about those TOCs? (I know they no longer exist)

Disruption on Minffordd - Spalding journey on split tickets

If you have a ticket to a destination and through no fault of your own you miss the last connection then I think they have to get you there by any reasonable means, as the ticket is a contract between the bearer (ie yourself) and the TOC(s) involved to get you from the origin to the destination...

    'Ran through points'

Unless they are 'Run through points' as found in many sidings, whereby the force of the train moves them across if set in the other direction when coming from a set of sidings. As a footnote, the points round TATA Scunthorpe are powered and they are changed using a plunger when heading towards...

    St Enoch station

Just think if they had kept St Enochs instead of Central... they could probably have done away with Queen St as well and had all services from one station. Would have meant the loss of Cowlairs but then I suppose that won't have bothered them too much!!

    Class 156 experiences?

I did that trip four years ago and found them to be quite comfy, with deep seat bolsters and highish backs. Mind, I did spend all my time looking out of the windows so didn't pay too much attention to the interior, but I don't have any bad recollections!! I do remember the PIS got confused once...
