I travelled from Derby to St Pancras last Friday on the 09:20 departure (1C27), not that any of this information is relevant!!

A chap in a seat nearby kept smoking electronic cigarettes on and off throughout the journey. These seemed to emit smoke, although my wife says it is vapour.

What is the policy on smoking electronic cigarettes in no smoking areas?

They're legal. They don't emit smoke, so the chap wasn't 'smoking'.

Remind me of the cigarettes I used to get from the joke shop when I was younger. Think it used to blow out talcum powder and the end was red cotton wool.

I think i prefer the smell of smoke to them. Only cool bit is the blue light. A mate of mine smoked it around me all day & maybe coincidence but it gave me a sore throat.

Indeed it is vapour. I wouldn't mind having one just to see if I get piled on to get kicked off until I tell them it's an electronic one lol!

I believe they are supposed to come with paperwork too that proves they are legal anywhere

The wife uses one and they are a damned sight cheaper than real fags!! The ones she has use liquid of different flavours and also different nicotine strengths, with a zero nicotine also available if you just want the sensation of putting it in your mouth
