TfL have reversed the entire service at Wembley before so I was surprised that they could not slot in the 4tph Watfords coming out from the depot between the trains coming from the city into platform 2, given that you are effectively running the exact same number of trains as usual from that...
That's interesting!
I would have thought re entering at Wembley Park onto Platform 2 would have been logical. I wonder what managements reason for not starting from Wembley was?
Yes, however, how many tph were the two platforms reversing throughout that weekend in general?
On the weekend, there are usually 8tph to Uxbridge, 4tph to Watford and 2tph each to Amersham/Chesham. I am wondering if that service pattern was unchanged and the full 16tph were being reversed...
I notice that a service is being run between Barking and high street Kensington via Victoria. What are these trains being advertised as? Wouldn't it make sense to have these setup as District Line trains (albeit with one Stop, HSK, being approached "opposite branched") seeing as the service is...
1. For anyone who happened to see these working over the weekend, how did the general public using the District line react to seeing these pass/stop at places like Acton Town/Hammersmith? I notice that there were people with their phones out recording. I am not sure if people really notice these...
Correct me if I have misunderstood here but given that the Overground Service was able to run as normal, what was preventing the bakerloo running north of queens park?
As far as I am aware, the issue was within the Stone bridge park depot, so only the stone bridge park reversers were affected...
I would add to that, I think the 73 stock announcements are one of the best, striking the best balance between softness and clarity, giving a natural sort of tone to it. I will miss them when they are gone and I pray that the announcements on the 24 stock take inspiration and note of this.
Surely that's a simple fix, just turn down the volume of both the announcements and the door chimes. The door chimes seem to be as loud as any other stock though
I have a feeling that when/if Crossrail 2 opens, a decision will likely be taken to go back to using the mode name of "Crossrail" for what are currently the purple "Elizabeth line" roundels, with the Elizabeth line name becoming the name of the specific line, by which time, it would be fine to...
That's a good one. I wonder if 72 stock to 24 stock (or equivalent of that), will be more transformational than anything.
Although I guess the biggest thing about this will be the fact that people will be shocked they're finally being replaced!
