I've seen on a number of threads speculating regarding the 376s on Southeastern and a good possibility they may be replaced alongside the networkers well before their intended life span.
This got me thinking, why not transfer these to london overground? They are 5 cars already and a very...
Im pretty sure the class 317s are very close to original condition, where-as the class 455s are heavily updated interior wise (and also traction package wise now too).
Of interest, how has the new traction package led to the original BREL sound of the 80s being retained? (Infact, it sounds even...
Interesting, I have two questions on this:
1. Does anyone know of any previous times when a 2 car 456 has run on any of the "metro" routes where the service should have been a 10/8/6 car service?
2. Why do certain routes e.g. hampton court/chessington/guildford via claygate/woking (yes i know...

Thoughts?
How would the tunnel work for metrolink, as i thought it already goes to the city centre? Also, wouldnt the issue be that metrolink already runs in both directions from Piccadilly, unlike one of the lines of merseyrail which is circular?
I wanted to ask how the two systems compare. I appreciate one is light rail and the other traditional heavy rail, however, both intend to serve the same purpose i.e. be the main metro operator for the city.
Do people have a preference? Do they really serve a similar purpose?
I think...
Will this be a phased introduction, or will the 38 stock simply disappear in one go i.e. a closure of the entire line like how was done with the Waterloo and city line when the 92 stock came in
Very interesting as i would have thought it was major. What other changes were planned but which were excluded in the end? Also what give aways were there around the stocks age?
