Purchasing London Travelcards on Trainline powered websites

I tried to purchase a Milton Keynes to London All Zones 1 day travelcard for tomorrow using Virgintrains West Coast website, however it won't show me the price using a Euston destination and gives me an error for London All Zones and London Zone U1256. Eventually I gave up an used Virgin East...

    Berlin Gesundbrunner

DB are currently building a new Terminal Building at Street level, this will house ticket office, shops, food outlets etc. There will not be access to the platform escalators (and possibly lifts) within the building. With that in mind, what exactly is the point?

    Translink

Used enterprise and local services around Belfast this past week. Really good. Had been expecting enterprise to be a bit rubbish but it was excellent, nice coaches and a proper buffet. Local Belfast services were good too, new trains, good staff, cheap fares and some nice stations. Perhaps...

    Monday 26th May Crewe-Milton Keynes

There do not appear to be any advance fares available on this day, also it doesn't appear to be possible to reserve seats (I tried at the ticket office yesterday). Given that there is no engineering works on this route then, what is going on?

    The Grand Budapest Hotel

This film contains a few sequences with what appears to be a narrow gauge steam train (at least the external shots). I suspect this is either Harzer Schmalspurbahnen or Racing Roland from Ruegen, probably the former. Can anyone confirm?

    Luton Airport

I have an early flight from Luton coming up and I was checking out train fares from Leighton Buzzard. It appears that an Off Peak return is only valid if I arrive before midnight, is this correct? I thought that trains in the early morning also class as off peak from the day before? I used...

    National Rail Station Layout Diagrams

I was checking out the map for Moorfields for a colleague. Ground Level bears little relationship to reality. Specifically it shows Moorfields & Old Hall Street being at right angles when they are actually parallel. I guess it's due to the limited software that they use. Are there any other...

    New Year's Day

When did BR start running a relatively normal service on New Year's Day? When I started at BR in 1982, there were no services north of Newcastle on NYD and the service between KGX and NCL was just every 2 hours routed via Leeds.

    London Overground 'Circle Line'

Tried it out at the weekend after Boris' opening fanfare and was seriously unimpressed for the following reasons: Why us it so slow? Why are the trains so poor & short? Why is the frequency so poor? anyone any ideas? Or is this just some politician talking rubbish as usual?

    BR Logo

One of the (few) nice things about living in Milton Keynes is the rather large BR logo above the entrance to the railway station, although they could do with replacing some of the bulbs inside. Are there (m)any other examples of the iconic logo around the country?

Why isn't there a Milton Keynes Group?

Why isn't there a Milton Keynes Group? Wolverton, MKC, Bletchley, Fenny Stratford, Bow Brickhill & Woburn Sands are all in MK. Plus, tickets from MKC & Bletchley are often the same price which suggests that there may be some shadow group
