I think, but I might be mistaken, they already have electronic screen maps on some of the trains on the MTR in Hong Kong when I was there earlier this year. They definatly showed you where you were on the line at least.

There are some mid afternoon trains to Alton that use 444's that stop at Surbition (Zone 6), can't remember exactly which ones but I'm sure someone can help. There are also some very early morning ones too out of Waterloo (0653 rings a bell).

Balham is surely the answer, loads of trains to victoria, northern line takes 15 mins to London Bridge, two stops to Clapham to change to Guildford. Its a really nice place, just moved in nearby.

If they could just change the seating to somthing like the 455 interior on the HC ones and like the 350/1's on the ones that go to Portsmouth/Alton etc they'd be alright.

I think the Networkers are wider then the 450's, hence wider seats. 450's are nasty horrible units when its busy, I prefer to stand then sit in those miniscule rock hard seats when its busy.

The speed restriction annoys me, why can't they use platform 8? Before you say its too short it can be extended it over the points into platform 7 which is a pointless platform? Would speed up things so much
