    On train noise and ambiance

I'm not suggesting separate toilets, however in a station, a shop etc you have them. On a Class 377 for example you have one accessable toilet and one smaller one anyway. I'm also not saying that the carriage should be for disabled people only either. I'm just saying one could be set up to cater...

    On train noise and ambiance

How is having one carriage with louder door chimes, brighter lights and increased P.A. and/or installing hearing loops, any different from having one carriage with a disabled toilet and a wheelchair space?

    Passengers with no manners

THIS DRIVES ME MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The lack of awareness of others around them is simply astonishing sometimes on the tube.

    On train noise and ambiance

I'm not saying don't have information, but make it credible and useful. When there are delays, often (not always) you often don't hear the conductor or driver give out any information on the TOC's I use, just more automated rubbish which just winds me up. People can't trust it anyway as often...

    On train noise and ambiance

Absolutely nailed it, all these noises and incredibly bright lights stress me out. If people have had a hard day at work, being on a packed train is bad enough. But when there are these ridiculously loud sirens blaring every time the doors open, digital doris blurting out the calling pattern for...

    Class 387

There have been many more 377s and 387s working on the Sutton line for a while now, especially at weekends.

    On train noise and ambiance

The other day I was travelling on a SWT 455. I guess it's one of the last ones to get the 2nd refurbishment (not re-tractioning). The automated P.A. system wasn't working and the doors still had the original sounders. I realised how nice this was. The lights weren't stupidly bright and it...

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

Is there a chance the 700s be introduced on the Sutton or Sevenoaks route instead given the issues at Croydon?

Creation of class 230 DEMUs from ex-LU D78s by Vivarail

What's happening with this project? Seem's to have gone cold. I know the Northern franchise can't take them now, but is there still interest from elsewhere? Anglia, Valleys, Cornwall?

    Victoria-London Bridge services

Why doesn't/didn't the line have a station at Brixton? It's arugably the main town in South London and with the coming of the Victoria Line, i'm surprised it never got a station to connect

Why did it take BR so long to adopt sliding doors?

Has anyone got any more info on this?

Fastest route between South Western Main Line and King's Cross/St. Pancras?

Another thing to consider, if you go to Victoria it is much better getting one of the suburban services from platfrom 14 at Clapham (even if it stops at Battersea Park) as the walk from the platform to the tube is much shorter and less congested from platforms 9 to 12 at Victoria than 15 to 19...

Fastest route between South Western Main Line and King's Cross/St. Pancras?

I do this journey almost every day to work! A lot of it depends on the time of day, in the peak I go to Vauxhall (using the windsor line trains, easier to get on). In the peak you often sit outside Victoria for ages waiting for a platform and then often the tube is closed due to overcrowding...

Discussion on electrification and the Marlow branch

My question really is, is a 365 just a re-geared 465 with a pantograph or is it a completely different electrical design? My hunch is it is and then surely a 466 would be a simple conversion too. Has anyone got some evidence?
