Trying to travel from Glasgow to London from the 26th to 28th, but not sure if it's worth the hassle of the time which trains will be travelling via...
Thanks, according to realtimetrains last week it often arrived at the later time or even later so I won’t get my hopes up. The alternative would be changing on to the earlier service from Glasgow Central although I’d have to rebook. Having said that I can try splitting at Crewe?
I'm due to travel on the follow service, which has been impacted by the temporary Avanti timetable.

I don't mind that the service stops st Crewe but why has the jourmey now been scheduled to arrive 27 minutes later than...
I’d guess that on a 4.5 hour journey the chances of it being checked either before or after the staff change at Preston is high, although I might have some leftover Avanti credit I could use to upgrade to SP before I travel.
When do Seatfrog auctions usually end?
Travelling from Glasgow Central to London Euston for work next week on rail sale tickets expensed. It's one of the first services early in the morning, i'm just wondering if it's worth paying the £30 standard premium upgrade, seems to be a bigger table and a slighly comfier chair. The new...
I’m considering travelling from London to Brighton in the next few days too. Generally speaking Thameslink trains from Blackfriars would be cheaper than Southern services but takes a little longer. There is a catch if you use a split ticketing website to get cheap advance singles to Brighton but...
Perfect thanks, travelling from Glasgow to London Euston next week and my seat is an airline seat so I might try and look for a spare table or try the standard premium upgrade on board
Hello.
Just wondering if anyone knows if Avanti now have plug sockets on the airline seats in standard class? Diagaram online suggests it does but I'm niot sure. Thanks
Yes it is but from glasgow central to Euston the opening minimum bid is £35 whereas an onboard SP upgrade is £30, whereas on the ECML opening bids are around £8-10, ridiculous.
I'm travelling next week but Seatfrog haven't released the options for the week I'm travelling. Looks like opening bids are set to £35 between Glasgow Central and London Euston, is that right? Could it end up being lower? I've paid £26 each way in standard class (with railcard discount), and...
How do you all think this will impact those travelling from Glasgow who still have to stick to Avanti fares? I'm travelling for £52 next month from GLC to EUS on two advance singles with railcard discounts. Lumo on the other hand could be done with £13 advance singles and a £12 open off peak...
Just wondering what the bidding process would typically be like on an Avanti train using Seatfrog? I'm travelling end of next month from Glasgow Central to London Euston and back on advance singles. Travelling ona Thursday and Tuesday, journeys starts around 12-1pm each way so wondering what the...
Curious to know when Avanti release the cheapest advance fares (The £30 one way Glasgow Central to London Euston). I know there's the usual "12 weeks" but have seen on their website there's some of these fares beyond that (e.g. mid June).
I never knew this was a regular occurrence, any time I've been on a Pendolino it's always been Standard, this is my first time travelling in First Class so wasn't sure if K was genuinely quiet enough. I'll be interested to see what happens when I travel, honestly if there's an unreserved table...
"But you can have a table to yourself in another coach, there are loads" - might be possible but that's not an issue
"We haven't set up in here" - surely that's a requirement for every journey to set up where there is evidence of reserved seats in that coach?
"There won't be any service in here"...
