A restriction was placed by Network Rail on class 153 and class 155 trains between Springs Branch Jn and Huyton Jn due to 'gauge clearance issues' at Bryn station. This took effect from late June 2014 and continues until further notice. (From our weekly operating notice).

Very unlikely as they are not authorised for clearance through Bryn. Also, probably just saw half of a 156 through the dark and trees etc.

Probably not a bad idea, I wouldn't want to work any further than that. That time can be doubled for most in rush hour and I wouldn't want to leave any earlier for a 4am start! :o

This. They certainly don't use it to catch trains and I know at some of our stations there are posters advising to call BTP if there are beggars.
