    East Coast catering changes

Of course we must remember that when taking about restaurant cars through the Scottish highlands it was National Depressed that got rid of them, it was just a few peak time Kings X services that had them. It would only of got worse if they had managed to hold on to the franchise.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) First Class service

If its one of the peak time evening meal trains, then fruit and cake are not loaded, there should be cheese and a hot dessert option available on those trains. I dont believe fruit or cake are listed on the evening meal menu.

The changes to the buffet (sorry food bar:roll:) are in the main poor, no fruit still, downgrade in coffee and even tea has gone to normal Yorkshire instead of gold, no deals. All with an increase in price. Also the crappy bacon paninni instead of the freshly cooked toastie:roll:, dear o dear.

    Typical East Coast CSA roster

Its difficult to give an accurate answer to that, they are many different ones. It will be a 12 week roster based on an average of 35 hours per week, so 420 hours over the 12 weeks. Usually the roster will repeat its self every 2 or 3 weeks, but this can vary from depot to depot, which depot are...

'Intercity' trains - New Scotrail Franchise

If this were to happen its time to think of terminating all EC trains at Edinburgh and letting the Scotrail franchise take on a few extra Edinburgh to Aberdeen/Inverness services using the IEP trains. This would reduce costs on the EC franchise and still provide trains with capacity and comfort...

The 1156 and 1230 are Edinburgh crews, while the 1258 is a Newcastle crew, the 1130 and 1201 are the only London crews around that time. Normal service will not resume until Monday 6th. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Just a tea or coffee, if its busy sit near the kitchen end...
