As of tonight (17/10/14) Colas 47 'Rebbecca' is hooked up to 8005 with it's translators , train has been cancelled due to a fault on one of the translators, so the train is sat up at Top yard for now.
From what i hear the contractor doesn't get paid till the unit is in service , the two we have are still sitting on 9 road , i can only presume they'll stay ther till the contractor finishes them, we are having a bad run with contractors it seems . what with the 458 fiasco and the 2 million quid...
5732 has been put back together and is currently sitting on 10 rd under test, hopefully be out and about soon.

I had a good look at Rebecca and Robin of Templecombe when they were at Wimbledon and the bodies are starting to show their age , a fair bit of corrosion on them.
8005 is sitting in shed on 11 road minus shoegear and door footplates , usually a sure sign of an impending move to top yard to meet up with a Doncaster bound 47.Coupler heights being done tonight so 8005 not going anywhwere for at least 24 hrs.
Been very succesful apparently, just heard that the are increasing the usage of the MPV fleet to include other jobs out of season , the first is to be using an MPV to go round picking up all the left over rail after engineering works.
i would agree with that totally, i came from outside and i love it on the railway , i earn double what i earned out there, and i get twice as much time off.

from what i hear neither unit is to enter service due to being full of faults , example being doors wired up wrong , 42 way jumper wired up wrong , so that unit will not work with a 455 , and many more.
as far as i can see very little has been done to the interiors of our returning units , hence the blue first class seating remaining , which i think looks hideous, they must have done some work though as 501 still has plastic wrap on some of the seating , but i think in the rush to get units...
