Apparently so. Helsby, Frodsham and Runcorn East get a 2 trains per hour service to Manchester Victoria and Leeds. No more direct services to Oxford Road or Piccadilly.
At the end of our garden was the line from West Cheshire Junction to Mouldsworth so Class 25, Class 40 and Class 47 were the mainstay of my early childhood hauling freight just yards from the garden fence.

Some more Northern services have dropped in. Helsby gets three services in a morning on the Chester to Leeds service, one of which seems to replace the TFW service that was at 0720 into Piccadilly with an 0729 into Victoria.

At the pub I went to on Saturday you could either check in with the App or sign into a book. All covered off. The manager even offered to write our details in for us.
The Ellesmere Port to Leeds service seems to have been canned. I used this for a while when it started up as I used to work in Manchester next to Victoria station. There isn't even a replacement service from Chester.
The evening service to Ellesmere Port still runs I note.
I had a temperature and a cough with difficulty breathing at night. No sniffles, sneezes, aches or pains. Having had flu I know it puts you to bed for a week. I was able to carry on working. I was in Spain mid December so it might have Covid or might not.
But all it takes then is one person coming in off a flight who is infected and we start again.
