Helsby to Man Picc. Usually a nice 175 with plenty of seats. By the time it leaves NLW is it standing only. Recently we have also had a 158 instead of the 175. Seats are more cramped and far noisier. Barrier every major station and have the barrier machine print or mark the ticket as it goes through. All season tickets to be chipped to allow passage through the barrier as you do with an oyster card. I suppose cost would be an option but the cost could be offset by the reduction in lost fares.
