Hi Francis,
For the record it was Platform 11 and 11 Middle at Victoria, plus Platform 3 at Exchange ,which formed the long platform 2194ft. According to Trains Annual 1963. A good Christmas present at 10/6 or 53p. :)
For those ,who live in the South West. Note the one day specials on this branch line run by First Great Western.

Javelin 3 / Victoria Cross . UK Railtours train went into Victoria and Cannon Street on Saturday, but that was the third one in a series of 395,s in unusual locations. it raised plus £21,000 for Charity:D We think there may be a Javelin 4 next year
Also check out the London Rail Atlas by Joe Brown or the Rail Atlas GB and Ireland by SK Baker. All four atlases offer something about the area you are looking at. Check them out in a book shop before you buy one.
Can anybody explain why there is a speed restriction in place on one part of this viaduct ?
My colleagues yesterday on our train tour said it had been in force for some years.
Many thanks for any local information.

Line should reopen on Monday. There have been engineering works in the area over the weekend, but I think that was unconnected with the incident.
Somebody in the industry, who works in the local area should be a long to give you an update.
Yes they have tested two trains at the same during the night. Also one train in normal service ,when there was an incident in the Warrington area. There could be other trains which have been diverted?
A BLS Trip to Hull Docks, Iron Ore Branch at Scunthorpe and numerous bits around Doncaster including the new chord in both directions!
