Hi Francis, For the record it was Platform 11 and 11 Middle at Victoria, plus Platform 3 at Exchange ,which formed the long platform 2194ft. According to Trains Annual 1963. A good Christmas present at 10/6 or 53p. :)

Javelin 3 / Victoria Cross . UK Railtours train went into Victoria and Cannon Street on Saturday, but that was the third one in a series of 395,s in unusual locations. it raised plus £21,000 for Charity:D We think there may be a Javelin 4 next year

This train reached Hull Docks and went down the iron ore branch at Scunthorpe steel works.:D

Can anybody explain why there is a speed restriction in place on one part of this viaduct ? My colleagues yesterday on our train tour said it had been in force for some years. Many thanks for any local information. Standish

Leaf busting train ?

Line should reopen on Monday. There have been engineering works in the area over the weekend, but I think that was unconnected with the incident. Somebody in the industry, who works in the local area should be a long to give you an update.

Yes they have tested two trains at the same during the night. Also one train in normal service ,when there was an incident in the Warrington area. There could be other trains which have been diverted?
