I love sushi, to the point when I now make it myself, but when I leave a London Terminal I generally stock up on Wasabi (the chain, not just copious amounts of the green stuff, though I do love that). While thats not odd in itself. I have had odd looks when I keep pulling more and more from the...
As much as I love the finished Bombardier Products, and I'm loving the fact more and more Electrostars are heading towards Cambridge, I get this point completely. I was really happy to be able to use 379's over the 317's, but even I had to laugh when the door buttons kept pinging off!
Yeah, as AndyH said, I was talking about where the stairs which were in the middle of the old concourse at KGX went. I'm very well acquainted with Kings Cross and the maze of tube tunnels it possess.
The tube. As with most sets of down going stairs at London Terminals. It was a tube entrance straight from the KGX concourse and past a small Tie Rack. It picked up a similar path from St. Pancras and entered the tube just before the ticket barriers at the Northern/Victoria/Piccadilly entrance...
Mind you, SWT were very generous with their offer of two Jinx in one day. Both snapped up at SWT stations thank you very much. The Poke Stops at Waterloo station were also particularly generous with the old great balls. So I'm gonna have to hang out at railway stations more often!
In all...
Sanderstead to South Croydon is very limited, as is Tottenham Hale - Clapton. I think Ely-Kennett may well be one? If we're allowed to use cheeky spurs and junctions then I've always liked the idea you can go from Stratford or Clapton to South Tottenham without passing through a station. So both...
Nah, north they'd have to cross the fast slow which is pain in the a*se. Heading north you'd still have to cross one of the slow lines. Which would still be a pain when things don't go to plan.
I suppose ones like that that are fully surrounded by electrification might be a slight risk. But the ones that fully entrenched in diesel territory should be fine
I posted a link back to that ages ago! I spend far too much time on that haha. I'm now four stations away from being able name all the stations on the SE network (already got southern nailed haha).
And I have something like 178 of the countries of the world. I'm getting there. Capitals of the...
Oh life is too short not to laugh at those things. I was sat on the Kings Cross express at Cambridge and watched as two lads with bikes ran and just made it on the train. Turns out I knew them. Much relief was shared between both of them "phew we just made it, happy days" etc. One of them turned...
I personally have no issue when you pay 30p or something for a toilet and then its relatively clean.
But, I like stations which are busy with traffic. I like Birmingham New Street. Sure, you won't be staging a heart-warming rendition of The Railway Children there. But I'd rather be sat there...
Oh I get you, so the DC lines would be running to Primrose Hill and onto the NLL there. I thought you'd meant leaving the DC lines at Willesden and up on the NLL there. Oh yeah, that makes lots more sense. Tricky to do round Camden Road, but much easier to achieve.
I may be missing something, so please explain if I'm wrong, but where is 'the 4 track alignment'? From where the ELL pulls alongside the NLL just after Dalston to where it sort of sprawls a bit beyond Highbury and Islington I know the alignment is there, but from there to where the lines begin...
