If you look up the big national rail timetable book you will see that the Newcastle trains do have seat reservations!

In my opinion the bus should be from Stranraer as Stranraer is closer to Cairnryan than Girvan is but then probably the Scotrail directors think that they know best!

In the North of Scotland there is a connecting bus service from Thurso railway station to Scrabster harbour to connect with the ferry to Stromness so why can't we have a connecting bus service from Stranraer railway staton to the port at Cairnryan?
