Did the trolley appear on the Girvan to Newcastle service and the old Saturday only Ayr to Carlisle Scotrail service!
In my opinion the bus should be from Stranraer as Stranraer is closer to Cairnryan than Girvan is but then probably the Scotrail directors think that they know best!
In the North of Scotland there is a connecting bus service from Thurso railway station to Scrabster harbour to connect with the ferry to Stromness so why can't we have a connecting bus service from Stranraer railway staton to the port at Cairnryan?

Wouldn't it be better to postpone the Milngavie expresses until Summer next year? That way it can allow for arrival of trains and no disappointed passengers!
In regards to North Clyde services, if there was major engineering work on the line affecting Airdrie,Springburn,Edinburgh etc instead of diverting trains to run to Milngavie or terminate at Bridgeton we could have an enhanced Argyle Line service as follows
