Crosscountry do provide catering but in the form of a trolley rather than a buffet if that's what you mean although I would prefer Crosscountry to have a full buffet service!
At least Labour made provision for alternative services from Glasgow/Motherwell to Newcastle/York albeit under Crosscountry and at least there will be more services to the south of England than at present-at present there are 2.
On the positive side at least there are more crosscountry services than at present, as there are only 2 departures 0600(0700 Saturday) and 0900 as well as 1130 and 1345 Sunday so the departures at 1100,1300,1500,1700 and 1900 are a welcome introduction and unlike the Tories at least Lord Adonis...
Yes,I mean Birmingham International and Coventry! There are no longer any direct trains between these destinations and Scotland since the Bournemouth's now run to Manchester, leaving the likes of Crewe,Warrington,Wigan,Preston,Lancaster in the North West of England as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh...
I can see where you're coming from about Motherwell but with East Coast axing direct trains from Glasgow and Motherwell to London King's Cross wouldn't it be a good idea to start them from Glasgow?

I can see where you're coming from but...
Don't you agree that these services should run all year round as it would restore through services between Scotland and the West Midland's that have been axed in recent years as well as a choice to travel a different way to London? These services would be provided by having the...
This may sound off topic but I saw a photo on another website of a class 318 unit at Partick heading to Bellgrove via Glasgow Queen Street dated January 2002 however I was wondering when class 318 units started appearing on this route before that date?
Before Airdrie to Bathgate ever opened I remember in November 2009travelling on the 1754 Glasgow Queen Street(1724 ex Drumgelloch) to Helensburgh Central to go to Partick and it was on a class 318 unit which correct me if I am wrong was diagrammed to operate the services departing Drumgelloch at...
Well can you tell me if the picture I saw on another website of a class 318 unit at Partick heading for Bellgrove via Glasgow Queen Street and dated January 2002 was the first instance of a class 318 on North Clyde duties or did they start these duties in late 2001?
What do you mean by staggered introduction?

In other words from July 2000 onwards? Also do you know when class 318 units appeared on North Clyde services because I saw a picture on another website dated January 2002 of a class 318 unit at...
In other words you remember them on the Argyle Line in 2000/2001? So do you have any idea then why some poeple and websites say May 2001 when I remember them in July 2000?
Considering the first class 380 entered service around late November/early December I thought it would be appropiate to say that although some sites say the class 318 emus were cascaded onto the Argyle Line from May 2001, I remember seeing a class 318 on the Argyle Line in July 2000 when my aunt...
