    Ashford-Hastings Investment

End of an era on the East Coastway line (update: this is now happening in 2015)

Track replacement I believe. The main work will take place over the Valentines Weekend - with no trains from Eastbourne after 10PM Friday until 4AM Monday.

    Tesco stores to close.

I work for them and was informed today my job is "at risk". Us staff simply know as much as Joe Public - no more details will be known until March at the earliest. 43 stores will close, mainly express stores but also possibly a couple of larger Metro stores. These will all be stores operating...

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

Which is why the station and route to the tube would have to be clear first, hence why a plan of action should have been drawn up in advance to prepare in case this was to happen. A contingency plan into Moorgate should have also been included as this, along with the tube, would have dealt with...

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

The South, South West, Scotland, Wales and most of the North of England - oh and most other major roads are coping fine - Britain isnt at a standstill at all.

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

The 313 will not have enough space to cope. You have more chance on 2 separate tube lines with a service every few minutes with more coaches - simple as that. The Moorgate line should run additionally though, but you will then further have a crowded station as pax will just travel to Moorgate to...

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

That isnt helping, but the easiest way to get them out would be via the tube......which the cant access due to the amount of people trying to get in the station. To get anything moving, the station needs clearing first, then bring more trains in - empty them and then start filling them up.

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

That'll be because there are too many people outside the station, as soon as you open a door to start letting people out, you will just get people trying to force their way in, not to mention - there is no way out because of the amount of people. Might be time to call in the police for crowd...

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

Forgot that route, although its already going to be incredibly busy because of the WCML closure.

5S24 1031 Streatham Hill to London Victoria

That is a public service, the ECS to Victoria isnt.

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

Finsbury Park closed until further notice. Effectively, there is pretty much no route up North at present with the WCML being shut, routes out of Paddington heavily disrupted due to more late running work and EMT arent accepting anyones tickets. Best advice to give is simply to try again tomorrow.

Quite possibly attaches to another service, maybe ?

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

Its the closest station on a direct tube line - simple as that. Also, there just wouldnt be enough coaches to run a replacement service for that many people for that distance. If Finsbury Park wasnt being used, then you would just have the same situation at Peterborough and Stevenage - simple as...

Scottish rail services affected by weather 10/12/14

Id say your reaction is an "overreaction" if anything.....I think we understood your opinion the first time. Question, what if a tree was to have came down in front of a packed service travelling at 60mph which would possibly cause it to derail which would most probably result in serious...

    Thameslink services on Sundays

The services use to only run to East Croydon, but were extended South in order to give Gatwick 4tph for Thameslink on Sundays. Since Gatwick isnt a great place to turn services around, they continue to Three Bridges.

Disruptive passengers - on a Monday morning?!

Disruptive passengers can occur at ANY time, trust me. Early morning services get a fair few, generally with people who had gone out drinking. Its possible it could have also been a fare evader who was to be removed from the train - thats a common one.

    South West Trains disruption

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/W17123/2014/12/03/advanced The last MPV that ran via Bagshot was around midday. Weather conditions may also be a factor.
