Very interesting comments indeed. Given through traffic avoiding Leeds by say one train per hour might not be a bad idea! Whether it came via Sowerby Bridge or Huddersfield I dont know but it might avoid the Leeds bottleneck. Either way cd avoid pinchpoints at Batley and Crossgates.
Shame that TPE didnt put into place some contingency plans just in case there were issues with new stock. More evidence of management failings I think.
In the north we had the green Centro livery on lots of 158s that were moved here-15 years ago?? The LM livery was an update of the Centro livery.
I remember those transferred units well as they had all internal signs in English and Welsh because at that time Centro had worked the Cambrian Line...
You are on the right lines there! But having had vinyl decals removed it is quite scruffy close up. Good livery though and better than the orange bits added on new LNW livery.
Many thanks. Next time at Worksop I might give that a go. Part of the trouble with 345 and 710 units are their small numbers. Just wish they had them on their fronts.
Many of the delivered 9 coach 345 units at Old Oak Common have had two coaches removed. These have been moved by road from London to Worksop. I saw a couple of these 2 coach sections at Worksop in mid November but have not seen any full list of those moved.
Sadly some local spotters that I met...
Chances are that if the Bradford unit has to attach to another at Leeds the chances of delay are massive. If I lived locally I wd go for GC. Split workings will only work if the railway in general is reliable.
