fantastic photos, i was working at the RNAS Yeovilton airshow last saturday, and the highlight for me was watching Vulcan XH558 flying and the chinook doing things a chinook should not do for such a big helicopter.
Just been browsing real train times and alot of trains appear to be running up to 60 mins late departing from KGX. anyone know whats going on. Lines down again or buckled track due to the heat?
It was also adorned in railfreight grey with construction decals, br blue, scotrail with red stripe yellow cab roof and scot rail red stripe black/grey cab roof latter two with stag logo.

slightly off piste i suppose, i've had on a few occasions when i've been out on a driving job been waiting for my "passenger" arriving into heathrow arrivals and been asked random questions like where is the taxi rank or the nearest bus rank is especially in T3. because wearing a cap with HMS...
yeah often see staff with there veterans badges on and tip them a nod and a wink. I have looked into getting early release but as my branch is so short at minute they won't even consider it. and besides i'm currently doing an instructors job teaching the next generation of sailors. but once i...
Cheers TDK, i've already been asked by my resettlement officer as to "why the railways". my reply was, i'll have been in the RN 23 years when i leave and alll i have done is use the rail network to get home. i don't mind working unsociable hours, i've worked away from home which isn't a problem...
just wondering how long the TOC's will keep a CV on there books for. i have recently uploaded mine to East Coasts and intend to apply to GC and Northern in the future when jobs become available on a speculative basis. i cannot leave my current employment with the Royal Navy until Feb 2015, but i...
It's not that i don't like the high backed ones used by FGW i use them to travel to London when i go home. they're just not as comfortable as the older ones GC use. especially when i'm trying to sleep:wink:
Admittedly the link starts off about GC's new offices in Sunderland. but what did catch my eye was the planned refurb's of the HST's which include new designs in 1st and standard class incl the Buffet. anyone know when or where the work will be done?. i do hope they keep the seating and don't...
i thought GBRf and Colas were interested in looking at 099. what is going on with it? like 61653 HTAFC say's it's just being dragged about as a dead weight pointless surely.
The fact its a "Demonstrator" from Turkey, got me thinking,

2: the exhaust ports look...

found this post i put up this time last year. it has been locked but the final reply makes interesting reading, as it quotes Pacer replacement. http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=65138&highlight=csre

Havent got a clue zoe, i've just looked in another thread and it's confirmed a HST doing the sleeper run. i normally book my tickets well in advance using redspottedhankey as i find it easy to use (when it works) failing that i'll default to the Grand Central site. I'm off into plymouth on wed...
