An uncomprehensive statistical analysis of some of the effects of split ticketing

Until customers start changing their appearance between the two checks and moving around the train

Tracsis Delay Repay System: Bugs and other UX complaints

So the root cause of this is that they haven't bothered associating the <label> elements with the input field that they are supposed to accompany. If they did <label class="form-label" for="emailadd">Email Address</label> instead (a 14 character fix for that one!) then it would all just work...

    Advance ticket, train cancelled

I do think it is regrettable that the industry has decided to treat "sub-48h" and TCS-driven cancellations completely differently. I personally don't think there's any sort of good justification to deprive customers of the rights and abilities that the new CoP will offer, based purely on the...

Tracsis Delay Repay System: Bugs and other UX complaints

Of course, the customer friendly thing to do would be to either do that check during the claim submission flow (no reason why that couldn't be done), or require human review at the TOC's side - rather than make the customer jump through hoops to go back into the claim three times to get it paid out.

An uncomprehensive statistical analysis of some of the effects of split ticketing

This is effectively my point. If the NRG effectively means that there are no trains that could be used, does it constitute a valid combination of tickets anymore?

Tracsis Delay Repay System: Bugs and other UX complaints

Useless. Did nobody test any of it? Station location dropdowns do no filtering whatsoever, and do not use IDMS names Yes, my ticket is issued from Trainline to Penalty Warning /s Why can I select a ticket vending machine sales NLC (SST=Self Service Ticketing) as the origin on my ticket...

An uncomprehensive statistical analysis of some of the effects of split ticketing

How are you accounting for varying stopping patterns in determining which splits are valid for a particular journey? From an implementation perspective I can definitely understand taking the shortcut here, but it's a significant caveat that will mean some of the split possibilities in this...

Tracsis Delay Repay System: Bugs and other UX complaints

I wanted somewhere to rant about this Delay Repay portal, because it's bloody awful and public shaming can occasionally be effective in persuading suppliers to get their act together. I have had no luck complaining to train operators about how bad the portal is. Broken email links "Delay Repay...

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

Thanks, TPE already on the to-do list. The reservation system is useless for a whole host of reasons, but one of those reasons is that it doesn't allow setting up "things that aren't seats" data inside a carriage. It only knows of seats. Everything else (luggage racks, vestibules, exits...

    Special Offers Discussion

It explains exactly what it's comparing to if you hover over it (the saving vs buying the discounted 1-year price and renewing it twice [at full price]). It's important customers understand that they're getting a discount by committing to 3 years up-front. Not all prospective customers will...

GWR: no longer possible to book (online) seat or bike reservation except when buying a ticket

So amusingly, you can still download the E-Ticket (it still exists) if you try a bit harder, but you then get this: I guess SilverRail are still figuring out how to generate a supplement barcode?

    Heathrow Fares on Avanti App

No, the search destination was HXX. As you will know, that tells you very little about what the journey planner has actually decided to do afterwards and what it's actually proposing to ticket. Try a search to LNE and see what Avanti tries to sell :p (hint: it's not a fare to LNE!)
