I'm not sure I was objecting to anything. What should season ticket prices be then, if they are not to end up being 'extortionate'? 10% less? 50% less? 90% less? And what would you say to someone who says that your proposed price is itself 'extortionate' ? Or should we go full Luxembourg?

And not just that - unlimited use of all* trains, tubes, buses, trams, anywhere in London all the way out to zone 6, for a whole year. It would be nice if posters saying "these prices are extortionate" would be kind enough to use their access to the Magic Book Of Righteous Prices and include...

Won't help with Milton Keynes, but if you do 'enough' journeys using contactless from Bletchley inwards, you will cap at the Bletchley+zones off peak cap, which is currently £29.10. Currently, your senior railcard is of no help. @JonathanH you posted as I'm composing :) 'unlimited' is the answer.
