    Northern 150 in South Wales

Yesterday I travelled between Barry Docks/Docïau Barri to Cardiff Central/Caerdydd Canolog on a Northern 150. Any idea why this is in South Wales? The PA had the Transport for Wales lady doing the announcements with the curt "thank you" at the end of the messages.

PSNI Stop Tickets Being Sold To Helen's Bay (Northern Ireland Railways)

Just seen this on Facebook: As there are parking issues, why suspend train tickets? Helen's Bay has been exceptionally busy (as have most NI beach areas), but surely stopping the trains from running means that more people will take their cars, causing yet more problems? (Text in the image...

    Mk2 in Aberdeen - Low-loader

Saw a Mk2 coach on a low-loader today on the Great Northern Road in Aberdeen, which had a weird Western Scotland Railways livery on, and all windows were covered in a bright green material. Was heading towards the Airport. Possibly being used for filming something?

Years ago I remember a number of car transporter trains thundering through Nuneaton, but can't remember seeing one for years. Have these services now stopped and opted for road transport instead?

    Advertising on the Forum

I've noticed today that a new drop down advert appears when using the forum and at times blocks out parts or the header when viewing pages. Is this a new feature? Images show screenshots of the Forum with adverts at the top of the pages, one covering the banner.

    Channel 5 - Compulsion

A new series has started on Channel 5 about a train crash and a paramedic who has problems following it, yet the publicity shot shows a train... ...it looks like a 319 but has weird lights. Does anybody know where and when this was filmed? The OLE looks a bit European too. (Image shows the...

Tickets are just £10 for a raffle ticket, and the Ayrliner is...

P&O Tells Ships To Stay in Port

P&O Ferries have instructed all their vessels on Cross-Channel and Irish Sea routes to remain in port and await an announcement cancelling all services. They've said they are not going into liquidation though. Seems like something is going on behind the scenes. Aren't P&O part it Stena as...

What does "AP" mean on a ticket?

I've seen on tickets that in the route field it states something like "AP NORTHERN TRAINS ONLY" or "AP SWR VIA WESTBURY" but can't figure out what the AP means? Some ticket machines for Iarnrod Éireann now state "Route: AP ENTERPRISE" on Dublin-Belfast tickets, but can't figure out why when...

Just spoke to a guard on one of the Class 397s on TPE and he said that TPE are withdrawing the 397s and 802s will take their place on the West Coast due to problems with them. Apparently the heating doesn't work, drivers are constantly having to reset the pantograph, they have problems with the...
