Advertising on the Forum

I've noticed today that a new drop down advert appears when using the forum and at times blocks out parts or the header when viewing pages. Is this a new feature?

I have noticed this too on a mobile device.

On my iPhone 11 it just shows the normal rectangle advert window.

Google decided to experiment without giving us a heads up. We've got no plans to change to advert style from the current fairly low key approach we take.

I noticed it last night and it was quit irritating as it kept making the screen jump when scrolling, though its gone now thankfully.

I take it this is a smartphone problem? I don't see it on my desktop.
Adverts all over the place is one of several reasons I don't use a smartphone for browsing.

I changed my browser to DuckDuckGo in order to hide these ads
