    Kings Cross tunnel

I'm wondering if there is a case to open the third tunnel at Kings Cross. It seems like it is in good condition. Is there a case for it. What would it cost amongst many pondering questions.

In-carriage advertising on trains. Which TOCs do it and revenue raising

This thread is about in-carriage advertising on trains. The only operator, or route rather, that does this is Southeastern High Speed. Why is this the only set to do so (maybe it is a new model of train, planned in mind) but my questions are: How much does that raise (I suspect it is small...

    Class 380 on Airdrie-Bathgate over Class 350

Imagine that! I would love new rolling stock. Although I get to use Class 390, 395, 185, 375s and if I am desperate PACERs. Yuk!

    UK bus network

Can any of you explain how the UK bus network is run in simple terms? I totally understand rail franchises, but I've never grasped the bus network. I've heard various things including councils subsidise price per passenger - dishing out contracts at a loss. I'm confused! Help!

    Class 380 on Airdrie-Bathgate over Class 350

Surely if their design is no longer acceptable for crash standards - they should be pulled from service (If I was the Daily Mail) Who makes these rulings? If there is any link?

    Class 380 on Airdrie-Bathgate over Class 350

With the well document problems of the Class 380, I pondered the inevitable. Why with such a reliable, and fairly new stock class, the Class 350, was it not ordered for Scotland? Surely it would cost less than buying/leasing brand spanking new rolling stock model. Well, not that I am...

Southeastern Railway > Kent County Council > High Speed extensions to Deal > Parkway

Always one hour - should be sufficent with the passenger numbers on the Kent Coast line, BUT - two mainline services an hour would meet demand, especially at the likes of Deal station with half a million passengers a year - still not close to Dover Priory's numbers.

Southeastern Railway > Kent County Council > High Speed extensions to Deal > Parkway

At least I am partially vindicated - or feel it. I was subject to much abuse from southeastern commuters earlier, despite being one myself. However, does my arguement about pathing and other various things stack up?

Southeastern Railway > Kent County Council > High Speed extensions to Deal > Parkway

Are some of the proposals realistic? As a Kent rail user, thus, Southeastern traveller I've always had a good service on mainline and high speed services - (not used metro for a long time). I would more often or not argue delays on the SER network arise from pathing issues, Network Rail...

Blackfriars Station reconstruction and everything else...

It seems hideous with the amount of money being spent, despite the increase in thru platform capacity handling per hour, the terminus platforms are being reduced. Yes, money is always an issue but if it recommissoned all three piers rather than just the one, could it bring back one or two...

Blackfriars Station reconstruction and everything else...

Following on from this BBC article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12480813 - many moons back, it stated that part of the new station was being constructed on the former redundant piers But, firstly, I wasn't aware of that, plus the fact the station capacity will be reduced to four, a...

    Grand Central to Blackpool denied

In terms of being abstractive. Does this mean the benefits towards Grand Central is too low, i.e. 0.3 (the number quoted in the document) OR 0.3 is the ratio to which the revenue would be taken away from the existing operator on the WCML
