Hi Folks,
Is a paper zones 1-6 Travelcard valid for journeys to and around Heathrow on the Elizabeth Line? I think it's OK on the Piccadilly Line but would like to cover all the lines there if possible.
Thanks,
BP
Hi Folks,
Which (if any...) is likeliest to have a unit or two parked up during the daytime (11:00-16:00):
West Kirby, New Brighton, Birkenhead Central or Rock Ferry?
Thanks,
BP.
Hi Folks,
I'm taking advantage of the Virgin Seat Sale again for another day trip to Glasgow. I'd love to get my remaining four 314s seen. I know they're still out in force on the Cathcart group of lines, but have the feeling there's some other places they now operate in their twilight years...
Hi Folks,
I'll be spending a day and half in sunny Colchester (COL) next week and plan to use it as a base for some Essexplorations. I'm hoping to do some branches and use break of journey to avoid lots of separate tickets for various legs.
Would I be right in assuming that for taking in...
Hi Folks,
Can anyone confirm the formation of Scotrail's 320415, please? I've noted it (twice!) with 63078 as the centre car instead of the supposed 63077...
Thanks! :)
Hi Folks,
In August I'll be taking advantage of Virgin's latest seat sale for a day trip to Glasgow. I'll be using a Roundabout ticket for some minor moves, but the main focus is to spot as many 314s as possible (with 318s and 320s as secondary targets). I've found this thread about the 314s...
To Cardiff for a Valley Lines Day Explorer
Why Cardiff? Its closer than Glasgow. The planning process revealed that the best ticket combination from Leamington Spa to Cardiff involves a split at Cheltenham, enabling anytime travel for third less than a through anytime ticket and only...
Mornin' All,
Is the only way to get from the National Rail platfroms to the Underground by leaving via the station front and using the adjacent Undergound entrance (as suggested by National Rail's plan)? There seems to be a way from the NR subway, but according to the NR plan, it was blocked...
The Electric Railway Museum at Baginton on the outskirts of Coventry is open for this year's Heritage Open Days. Free admission between 10:00 and 16:30 on both Saturday and Sunday.
Back last year when Pathfinder announced the Buffer Puffer 11.0 and 11.1, one of the highlights was the rare opportunity to take the curve from Metropolitan Junction into Cannon Street. As this stretch of tracks banned to locos, it unsurprisingly got pulled from the itinery. The disappointment...
Anyone know what's on the move with this working today, please?

It seems to take a very roundabout route so perhaps an NR test train?
Cheers!
The 'Search' facility's not found me any similar queries, so here goes:
If I have a paper 1 day Zones 1-6 Travelcard, can I use a Boundary Zone 6 to Grays ticket with it and would it possible to head out of the zones one way (Rainham to Grays) and back in another (Grays to Upminster)? Cheers! :)
Does anyone know whether there's likely to be any RHTTs around on the Esk Valley line next week (M-F)? If there are, what's the times for them at the Whitby end? Cheers!
