St Albans South Signal Box - see http://www.sigbox.co.uk is open 10am-4pm on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September in connection with the Heritage Open Days.

Various working signals and ground frames in the garden, together with various railway signs. In the box there will be frequent demonstrations on the operating 1st floor, and plenty of signalling and other railway-related items on display in our ground-floor museum room. Also a fresh display of photographs by H C Casserley taken on the Midland Main Line. Special attractions will include a garden railway demonstration and miniature steam traction engines.

Entry is free (donations welcomed, of course!) and every visitor gets a souvenir Edmundson card ticket. Light refreshments available - watch the passing trains on the adjacent Midland main line.

(Please note that the 1st floor is only accessible via a long staircase - the rest of the site is accessible by wheelchair.)
