On BBC Radio Oxford this morning a spokesman from Chiltern Rail was trying to justify the increase the annual season ticket prices. (8% from Bicester North & 6% from Banbury)

I saw a southbound freightliner service heading south through Banbury yesterday approx 13.20
It was being hauled by a Freightliner loco with a blue liveried Class 66 on the rear ( not close enough to see details) Does anyone know if this a regular operation now or a one off?

I notice two new semaphore signals (BS27 &BS35) have been installed at the souuthern ends of platforms 1/2 at Banbury. Also indicators have been installed on platforms 1 & 2.
I assume this is in connection with the Reading closure over Christmas when certain FGW trains are using the New Line...
