Yes they were recycled compressors. Traction motors, reverser, field divert controller, as well as I remember. Maybe more.

Even class 508 had recycled compressors.
Class 313 have GEC G310 traction motors, along with class 507, 508, some 314 and 315. They have always suffered commutation problems from new, hence flashovers. A very rigorous maintenance policy is required to prevent this.
Somebody did try to couple a 175 to a 150 at Blackpool. Quite serious damage to both units ! Their control systems are also totaly incompatable. For starters 15x are 24v control, wheras 175 are 110v control. The only other units 175 can couple to are 180.
