Hi
In the 90's I was staying in West London, using Hayes and Harlington railway station. Am I right in remembering there was a BR CCT visible from the Up platform?
And if I am, what was it there for?
Thanks.

A worrying time to have any illness that isn't Covid in Belfast. So much for the Hippocratic oath.
I was watching 'A Hard Day's Night' on the TV the other night, really to see the railway scenes. I read that Marylebone was used to represent Lime St & a London terminal. Has there been any other films that use the same station to represent two different ones?
With some of the HST fleet being reduced and moving to Scotland, would an HST set have been a suitable Belfast to Dublin set?
I mean as a new build in the late 90's.
Remember the BLM protests in June? In contravention of the lockdown rules?

Did this lead to a rise in Covid infections? If not, it does rather weaken the lockdown concept considering the numbers involved.

Hi
I wasn't sure where to post this!
Has anybody ever used the Stena Belfast/Liverpool crossing? If so, have you used it without booking a cabin?
I assume an FIP doesn't get a cabin discount?
Thanks.
I've just had a conversation with somebody I know who's getting a train next week. To hear them talk you'd think ticket offices and platform allocations were a great secret known only to a few.
'where's the ticket office?'
It's the row of windows with 'tickets' written above it...
Myself and Wife are considering travelling on the Night Riviera from Paddington to Penzance next year. We're in possession of FIP tickets. I'm enquiring what this entitles us to on the sleeper. I was told it's valid for travel, but a cabin has to be purchased. Is this the case?
Thanks.
I've been trying to book a sailing with my FIP with Stena. It seems to me as if Stena are attempting to disuade people from using the FIP pass. I've called 4 times now, every time there's been a different reason why I couldn't book. The last one was that I had to have been a member of staff...
On Michael Portillos GRJ programme last friday the rebuilding of London Bridge station was featured. We saw the arches below the station where the new concourse will be. Is that where the London Dungeon used to be?
Saw this in the DM today
