I have started shooting in RAW wtih my canon 400d, and convert them to .jpeg with 'Digital Photo Professional' programme which came with the camera. However, the RAW images look amazingly sharp when opened on that programme but when I save it to a jpeg its no where near as sharp as it looks on...

At the moment I have a Fuji FinePix s5800, and dont really like the results its giving me. Is the Canon 1000D a good camera to learn with? I saw one in pc world, it has quite a big body which I liked. And what about the lens which comes with it, is this reasonable for railway photography? -Adam

As Doncaster has loads of freight + other stuff the station itself I find is crap for getting good photos. Are there any stations/locations outside of Doncaster station where there are good places to photo much of the freight? - Could do with adding some loco's to my album. -Adam
