One of the things I like about leeds at the moment is how in rush hour there is a very defined route which which is easy to navigate and move along with the crowd.
I cant help but wonder how this will be affected when the southern entrance is finally built and open when you have two distinct...
Seats can be reserved multiple times on a journey. XC are in the process of extending the 10 minute reservation as can be seen on the displays on several trains now where pretty much every seat says "Available, but reservable on route"
I had this conversation with someone in XC's fleet team a while back, they have enough to form one rake apparently, but they would have to shuffle coaches round from every set to do it so it wont ever be done.

We've been running via the Erewash too. They were scheduled to run till the 10th anyway, just wondered if there was any truth in the rumours, been googling and still not seeing anything so not convinced.
The rumourmill according to some colleagues is abound today that the works that are taking place between Chesterfield and Derby are going to overun by a full week?
Has anyone heard anything to substantiate this?
For anyone who wants to know 1V46 (0632 York to Plymouth) and the return 1S53 (1323 Plymouth to Edinburgh) is booked a HST instead of a Voyager this forthcoming Tuesday (22/5).
Also for anyone not aware, it is booked a HST every weekday from the 25/6 till middle of september (14th I recall).
There are only two scheduled HSTs in service for the winter timetable tuesdays - fridays now, I don't remember the headcodes but they are the 0600 departure from Leeds - Plymouth, and the return trip 1223 Plymouth - Glasgow, and the 0608 Edinburgh - Plymouth, and the 1525 Plymouth - Leeds.
There...
This comes up every year and is argued to hell.
My family lives a two hour drive away, as things stand now I can guarantee at least a day and half with them over Christmas once you factor driving time?
Like hell am I giving up boxing day and losing precious little time I get with them...
