Apologies, yeah i meant from paddington! I work HST's day in day out so would be interested in seeing an IEP thats all. Take it theres not many hsts that way now then?
having a trip down from Scotland and wondered if anybody knew which services to Cardiff are IET on the 19th sept between 9ish and lunchtime if any? Sorry if too early to ask. Cheers in advance.
I was referring to the statement about XC catering staff preferring to work the HST's to Voyagers.
As an XC caterer I tend to find the exact opposite is the more common opinion.
The XC HSTs as reintroduced by this TOC have always only had two first class coaches.
The removed coaches are all standard class coaches. The coach lettering was changed from A-H to A-G when this was done with the standard wheelchair space coach and tgs/quiet coach being relabelled accordingly.
The only signs I've seen on XC lately are in coach C.
As this is the only coach where 10 minute reservations apply it says something along the lines of seats showing available in this coach can be reserved en route and you maybe asked to vacate your seat if travelling without a reservation.

HST's have never worked down to the south coast in this current franchise ever. They cant due to the bogie lengths apparently.
They have only ever gone to the south west in this current franchise.
The multi story is currently full by 8.30am most weekdays and the longstay full by 10am a lot of days so getting rid of the short stay and using either of those is not an option.
Ive thought a couple of time if network rail could compulsory purchase that bit of and that empty between Aire...
I dont know why they weren't on when you boarded, but that service attaches to the Plymouth - Dundee in Temple Meads at 1330 and runs as a double set North. The TM normally loads that trip in prior to arrival at Temple Meads as people quite often start boarding as soon at it arrives.
Thats whay I was going to say, put this message out publicly and try and keep undesireables away, means less conflict for the staff in the pubs, making a safer environmnent for all concerned, and it easier to use discretion on the day when hopefully not faced by as many large groups.
The letter we got given at XC implied that it was a fully reciprocal agreement, and that all all staff of the companies listed got free travel on all the other companies, either way about time they made the GC one official!!
