No it's a maintenance support job, so doubt they'll be any moving of trains myself. The last Shunter position I went for also didn't require you to move trains, but it's the same test regardless. It's no real bother to be honest if I had to do it all over again, but it would be nice to avoid...

Totally agree. I know jobs where people earn a crap ton of money just by picking up a phone and saying the right thing day in day out. Not very rewarding in my eyes and I would much prefer to work in a job like the railway for a lot less money!

I'm waiting as well but for a TOC, said I should hear back the following week but now almost 2 weeks on still waiting... Also just emailed today to ask if there had been any developments, probably jinxed it now.
