Following on from that very long thread about what is and isn't WCML! Can I buy from Tring to Hatch End and combine with a zones 1-6 travelcard on a non stop train or do I need to buy to Harrow and Wealdstone?
Hi all
Just wondering if anyone's had any experiences or thoughts on the new service yet?
I was at Marylebone (for a Met service) at 6pm and the concourse was heaving. I think the issue is the old 6pm - 6.21pm flight of services has shifted 10-15mins later for stations to High Wycombe. The...
I wonder if they've got a bit mixed up and in fact you can only exit at Oxford Circus? This is usually the station that appears on timetables during engineering work affecting services requiring use of the Central line
Amersham is open with additional services into Marylebone (buses from...
been on Chiltern Railways High Wycombe - Aylesbury (or parts of) by myself quite a few times around 11pm. They really are just stock positioning moves from Princes Risborough onwards.
A couple of memorable occasions was a train started from West Ruislip (engineering works) - arriving 20mins...
Hi
This has come up on here before but I can't find the thread
I've got a Aylesbury - London Terminals season ticket
Is this valid Baker Street - Rickmansworth and then Rickmansworth - Aylesbury later on this evening?
Thanks
It would appear that Chiltern are closing High Wycombe - Princes Risborough all day, and High Wycombe - Banbury from 1900 on Friday 5th November
Bicester North, Haddenham & Thame and Princes Risborough services will be diverted via Aylesbury and Amersham it seems.
They are diverting Snow...
well....due to my inability to read a timetable and then exiting the train at Central instead of Midi, I attempted a 2-min check-in yesterday at Brussels Midi and can tell you that it is not possible
However my non-changeable ticket was promptly endorsed to the next service 2.5hrs later...
thanks for the help everyone :)
My experiences of the stoppers generally have been uncomfortably full, and if anything has gone wrong on the Met then they are crush loaded, so will definitely be aiming for the limited stop runs.
I just wish they'd run one around 8ish - the schedule isn't...
ah well, a table and a laptop point is out the question then. I've done a couple of ad-hoc journeys over the years in the evening peak and definitely had a 168. though we were leaving people behind at Harrow so they defiantly aren't suited stock for the route I guess!
I've just noticed there...
Hi
I'm just about to start commuting Aylesbury - London Marylebone. Just wondering if anyone had any tips?
In the morning I'll be on the 6.47 or 7.50 "express services" - are these both formed of 165s? Are any of the services from Aylesbury 168? I remember some peak time 168 workings in...
If you really need to do it cheaper and time isnt so much of an issue than Megabus and National Express have some £20 return fares from Middlesbrough to Victoria.
From there you could pick up the Group Save 4 from the ticket office in the train station (few mins walk) - no need to buy in...
A collegue of mine travels most Friday afternoon/evenings from Euston to Stoke-on-Trent and then back again on a Monday morning.
We were looking today at the Virgin Traveller club but have been unable to get any idea of what availabilty is like on that run. It would cost her approx £500 to...
Just on the 1907 ex Marylebone, lots of photographers out at the London stations, didn't see anything exciting in the station, just wondering what they were going to be photographing?
I've got a feeling that you can now buy a travel card with a RC discount from an LU machine - I haven't done it myself but i'm sure I saw an option.
Otherwise you definately can from the Chiltern machine.
Yep I just took the 1709 ex Brighton which was 201, no LED displays and no stickers in the windows, cue some confused passengers along the way! However did spot the 375s leaving East Croydon and on a 350 en route to Shepards Bush, definately an interesting time for the Southern Railways!
