Chiltern ticket acceptance on LUL during engineering work

As you may know we're into the two week Chiltern blockade. Basically for two weeks the Chiltern Main Line won't be running to Marylebone.

I have a [stn]GER[/stn]-[stn]MYB[/stn] season ticket. This week going to Paddington isn't too bad, but next week, the official replacement is a bus to Hillingdon, then LUL to Baker St. (1h08 total). Nasty, as Baker St is even further from my work !

I have been told by ticket staff that my ticket is suitable on the Central line "as long as I don't exit at Oxford Circus". Works for me as the Central gets me closer to work.

I'm wondering if these 'official' alternative arrangements are documented somewhere, so I can print something out to show to LUL staff if they aren't aware of arrangements ? I can just imagine a busy gateline at somewhere like Marble Arch, with me trying to show a non-Travelcard and it all going wrong ..

I wonder if they've got a bit mixed up and in fact you can only exit at Oxford Circus? This is usually the station that appears on timetables during engineering work affecting services requiring use of the Central line

Amersham is open with additional services into Marylebone (buses from Beaconsfield) if that's any use to you.

I hope they've got this organised - travelling back late last night was a bit of a shambles. The last train from Ruislip appeared to have been retimed (showing -00:46 on the PIS at High Wycombe not 00:40 as in the timetable.) Luckily we left a couple of mins early as the connection at Risborough wasn't amended. I made it after legging it over the footbridge and got on just as the doors were closing - hope nobody was behind me!

Details of ticket acceptance appear in the London Underground "Traffic Circular". They give the details of the TOC involved, and what LU stations are accepting their tickets.

In the case of the Chiltern work, I'd expect that to be something like: Paddington, Wembley Park, Wembley Central, South Ruislip, West Ruislip, Hillingdon, Sudbury Town, Sudbury Hill and Northolt. (I don't have a copy of this week's TC, as I'm on Annual Leave, so that list may not be correct)

Met Main Line stations (i.e. Baker Street - Amersham) aren't usually included as tickets are interavailable anyway.

They were chancing it! Can't see any logical reason why they would think their ticket would get them there?

I think it's a case of 2+2=5
Chiltern have been saying that their tickets are valid on the Met, Bakerloo and central lines, which they are, but it turns out this is only the case when travelling to Baker St, so West Ruislip to Oxford Circus then Bakerloo etc. would be valid. Not a journey to 'wherever you want'

So in this instance, is it a valid journey if I exit at an earlier stop eg. Marble Arch?

No. This week and next week you are only valid to enter/exit at the stations listed above.

Hmm so with the circle / district line not running from Paddington to Notting Hill Gate, the only option for me to get to West Ruislip is to go from Baker St or MYB .. Unless I can somehow find a (legal) way to get onto the network without touching in on Oyster then using my paper ticket to exit.
