Hi everyone
Not sure where this fits but interested in knowing everyone's opinion on renumbering of trains. Do you still mark off the train as seen when for example certain class 156s have been modified and hence given a new number but you've seen it with its old number, many thanks.
Always remember the shock of seeing a Western along with GWR stock at Birmingham Snow Hill when staying with an Auntie in Brum. I had only seen them during our annual holiday in Devon and Cornwall and couldn't understand how they were so far north.
I recently moved to the Midlands and now the proud owner of a free bus pass which also allows free travel on trains in a designated area. My question is when my partner travels with me within this area can I purchase a disabled ticket for her as she is travelling with me. Just to add I have of...
Have travelled this route many times but only for leisure not commuting. I've never had a problem getting a seat from Ramsgate to St Pancras the train usually gets busy at Ashford. The return journey is usually pretty full leaving St Pancras if travelling in rush hour so I'm not sure if a seat...
My disabled rail card is due for renewal however as I am now over sixty should I purchase a senior rail card. Although I qualify for a disabled card I do not require any assistance whilst travelling.
Would it be possible to buy 2 return tickets and use for the 9.05 high speed to St Pancras from Ramsgate and return in the evening to Ramsgate. I checked online and noted the promotional price only applies if you use Margate rather than Ramsgate.
I also got a code, try leaving your email and post code in the box and hit submit continually when codes next become available, start 30 seconds before and keep pressing.
Yes thank you I have considered that but it's more expensive and need to watch the pennies. With discount a period return for her is 17.80 and I would need 2 day returns with discount would be 2 x 13.20 hence total cost 44.20 where as 3 period returns being 53.40.

Thanks for the quick reply and for helping to clarify the situation. I studied the rules as best I could and came to the same conclusion that as long as we both travelled the full journey together it would be OK even though we had different types of tickets.
I have an adult disabled card, my friend wishes to travel to Portsmouth to stay for a couple of days but will not travel on her own. Is it possible to purchase a period return ticket for her using my rail card and myself buying a day return again using my discount.I would accompany her...
I have took advantage of the east coast offer £10 anywhere and purchased a ticket from kings cross to Edinburgh. Will this be valid to Haymarket or only Wayverley, I thought I had put Haymarket in the destination but my ticket just says Edinburgh, many thanks in advance.
Could someone please confirm that travelling via Barnham my friend can travel direct to London Victoria and from there direct to Portsmouth. Connections show changing at Tonbridge and Redhill but if I am looking at the routeing guide correctly she can make just 1 change at Victoria. The...
