Aye, I do the same

When I'm waiting (at the stop) for a bus behind the one currently loading, and the driver let's random people on the bus it does make me angry. Sadly the whole bus stop etiquette of queuing in an orderly fashion has gone right out the window these days - some stops are worse than a rugby scrum.

In Edinburgh, there is one service 34 journey that operates Heriot Watt to Semple Street then continues as a X33 to Newtongrange

The 36 did go to Holyrood, before the 6, then it was split off to be the 6 from St Andrew Square - Waverley Bridge - St. Mary Street - Holyrood Rd. To the Terminus. The 36 was rerouted and extended up Lothian Road and Morningside towards Napier University's (then new) Glenlochart Campus IIRC.

Thanks! I know the school journey was handy for Broughton High start time, but was never sure why run it so close to the regular service, other than the extra capacity. Also interesting to note that the C38 regular service went to Granton, not the School day service, as Lothian did.

Back in the mists of time, when I was at High school (mid- to late 1980's) there was a school days only 38 run with a double decker, Saughtonhall to Crewe Toll in the morning, Crewe Toll to Saughtonhall in the afternoon

I would imagine having to drive your entire shift on *any* route would be tedious, though some routes definitely more than others, but again, I'm not a driver so....
