Having looked at the timetables I'm 99.99% sure the 0819 comes off the X26...
So the 3 X26's arrive at Waverley Steps (stop PP) at 0757, 0818 and 0838
And the 3 25's depart Waverley Steps (stop PP) at 0758, 0819 and 0839 (this being the first stop for these 25's)
To add to Eastern's woes, I saw recovery company McPhie's collecting a single decker this afternoon from the Sighthill college stop. (Couldn't see the number). It seems it gave up on it's way into Edinburgh - oh dear.
I wondered if that was the case. It's the first time in a long time I've personally seen a double decker on Driver Training. I've seen a fair few singles on DT (ordinary service vehicles, not necessarily Training school vehicles) but makes sense to use vehicle types that a driver is going to be...
The 109 was latterly a one bus, 3 round trip service, Longstone - Livingston Dean's- Longstone (ran between 3:30 and 6:30am(
IIRC before this it was the night service of the 9 that Lothian ran into Livingston (back when night buses were 101-106 weekends/201-205 weekdays)
It was an advertised...
Agreed it is also very frustrating especially at a busy stop where 5 or 6 people can all ring the bell - between the old yins that are deaf and the youngsters plugged into technology, no-one is aware of their surroundings- everyone in their own wee bubble :{
The fleet number of a bus comes in handy if you leave something on said bus! (IIRC this was a reason for the depot codes being added to buses so lost property enquires could be directed to the correct depot - but I doubt the average passenger would note a fleet number and depot)
I'd be embarrassed to my company name on many ex First Scotland East buses :lol:
It rather become the division that first used to "lose" buses/dump them there til they died and could be written off.
Estimated buses are shown based on timetable information, rather than actual location of the bus.
I have known estimated buses to show up, presumably due to:
No working tracker in the vehicle,
No working vehicle WiFi connection,
Faulty tracker
There do seem to be some issues with the technology...
