Can't wait to see the back of the Ex-London buses... They are horrid sardine cans, seat spacing is the worst by far of any Lothian bus and most have very loud engines - you can hear an Ex-London a mile off
I would *almost* go as far to say, given the choice between travelling on an Ex-London or...
Agreed, today I noticed a right mess:
25 was showing both 'Craigentinny' and 'Restalrig'
30 was showing as 'Musselburgh' (with QMU* and Stoneybank as via points)
Wherever the data comes from it needs fixed
*Queen Margaret University- where the 30 does actually terminate now
The 2 I was on yesterday had a bus swap at Potterrow a 7900 (14) for a double decker (I did look at fleet number , but cant remember  )
It had floor height blue lights going up the stairs
I dare say only when the have an abundance of vehicles and drivers to drive them....
Right now they need to balance of existing services and trying to plug holes left by McGills withdrawing services.
Not saying it is an ideal situation, but it is where we are at...

Yes, The West...
Germans don't tend to queue like we do, but tend to spread out along the stop (or "platform" of the stopping area) and away from the edge unless their bus is due/approaching. Also, due to trackers people know which bus is coming first which is second, organising themselves to front or back of...
In many German cities (and in Austria as well) in city centres and busy locations or transfer points, they have what are called "Doppelhaltesstelle" (double stops) which are identified by 'HH' signs rather than the usual 'H' sign. These stops allow two loading points at one stop.
Something...
I imagine that at certain times of the day, Earl Grey St., and Home St are quite congested, and buses sitting trying to right turn into Lochrin Terrace from Home St. Not helping the congestion around Tollcross.
Also the pointless cycle lane that was put into Ponton Street (during covid/2020)...
It shouldn't affect the X40 TO the Infirmary, as it can run directly from Clovenstone Roundabout onto the A720 City Bypass.
The return, however, would require using Baberton Mains View. Exit from A720 City bypass onto Baberton Mains view (to run under A720) to Clovenstone Roundabout.
Of...
Ah, right, understand now!
Yes, rather than have those (stupid - in my opinion) bike lanes there would be enough room for bus stops parallel to the New Mart Road stops.
However, with the current shambles of a road layout this will never happen.
IIRC, the service operated Edinburgh - Falkirk - Linlithgow
The first departure from Edinburgh arrived as the last inbound X38
can't remember if the 2nd N44 came into Edinburgh as an N44 from Linlithgow or not
With regards to tree lopping, I think that there will be that much red tape and Health & Safety rules and regulations for the bus companies, that it just isn't worth the hassle these days. Also, would probably get sued by the tree owners for cutting tress that aren't your property these days....
Agreed that the frequency of some services need increased, but of course, that also means there needs to be an increase in drivers, which I'm pretty sure Lothian (or other operators) just don't have.
Also, until the council decide to seriously tackle bus priority measures and sort out the utter...
I like the white/orange displays, the number does stand out more being in white.
However, it will be far easier from a maintenance stance only needing to get replacement LED's in white [probably white is cheaper too]
