...funny, I've never had any issues with the 7900's I found them pretty comfortable to ride on the whole (and on fairly long journeys as well, Saughton Mains/Parkhead to Commy Pool regularly and on occasion to the Fort and even Musselburgh!)

I think a combination of factors including roadworks, spaces for people measures, shocking parking/stopping all contribute to it. It seems to affect most services, especially those on 10/12/15 min frequency. I've even seen 33's running at 10min/40min instead of 20min. As for "not in service"...

The only one that springs to mind is Swiss PostAuto (Post Bus) Route 682 that crosses Grimsel, Nufenen, Gotthard and Susten passes. I don't have the exact height but definitely over 5000m ASL in points.
