Seemed a few more trains than usual at Coventry for a Sunday, no idea if they were anything to do with the ash cloud, though...

Claverdon and Bearley on the Leamington-Stratford branch in Warwickshire only get around 1,500 passengers a year. Yet trains stop there regularly. Or so they did when I last travelled to Stratford from Leamington.

Pretty poor fine there IMO.

Saw a few more trains at Coventry yesterday, mainly Pendos. Was nice to see but didn't make up for the fact my trip to New York with uni was cancelled because of this silly ash cloud. :-x

Double Voyagers have been operating through Leamington all day today.

Avoids my house by 4 miles, darn! Also goes straight through Ufton Wood (5 miles south of Leamington) which is well known as a dogging hotspot.

People are stupid, sadly. I wouldn't be surprised if some drivers out there believe Cars should have priority over Trains!

So how often did electric traction go into St Pancras before it was refurbished then? Or was it just used as a diversionary terminal when electric traction couldn't get into Euston/King's Cross?

Leamington to Coventry about four times a week. (crosscountry) It's dreadful.

Saw a Voyager doing the Euston train at Coventry last weekend. Barely see 57's these days :(

The funny thing is, whenever I mention I have AS people always ask "Do you like trainspotting?" which is of course, the truth! Anyway I know someone with severe Autism who has a disabled railcard. I think you would qualify for one as it's Autistic Spectrum and all that.

These type of trains also run from Calvert Landfill site in Buckinghamshire to Bath and Bristol I believe. Very smelly affairs indeed!

The old photo cards were awful. I remember the last one I had I used so much that the ink that printed the end date came off, had to buy a new one :-x
