It can't have taken that long to photograph the tiny town of Mallaig, but while the Google car was circling town it caught sight of 156453 (visible from this viewpoint, but not a few metres down the road heading out of town).

What's even more interesting is what is visible on the aerial map portion of that view: looks like a top'n'tailed charter or rail tour, with a 37 (?) nearest the bridge.

You can get a little bit of everything from NIR if you take the M2 north out of Belfast: York Road depot is right alongside the motorway.

NIR's rake of "Gatwicks" - mk. 2 carriages formerly used on GM111-hauled commuter services...

Streetview was done 2008 - 2009 and finished this year.

I know that Southampton area was done late 2008 (my old car is in the car park at Netto at West End in Southampton!) and a lot of kent was done between Feb 09 and Dec 09 (it has my new car outside my house!)

SPT Livery Class 170 at Alloa.

A few points:
1. Why isn't there a stop board short of the end for three car units, to postion the middle of the train at the station building?
2. How long is the platform? 6 carriages? 8? Nice forward planning!
3. The aerial shots of the surrounding area are hilariously out of date!

Not sure of the loco class, a lot has changed since I left the UK in 1993.

They're both class 59, built by EMD and belonging to EWS (at the time of the photograph, now DB Schenker).
