Cambridge-London Terminals tickets valid to Blackfriars?

Presumably only valid if travelling into Moorgate via Drayton Park / Old Street.

    Radlett Rd Watford

Have seen the location shown in picture # 1 described both as 'Radlett Road Bridge' AND as the 'Radlett Road Tunnel'. Apparently was known locally as the "Death Trap", on the basis that in the past, there was no separate walkway designated for pedestrians, and two way motor traffic was allowed...

Semi-flexible walk-up Off Peak Day Return at £43.40 (with Railcard discount) from Hemel Hempstead to Sandwich (or to Ramsgate or to Dover Priory) is possible. Routed ✠VIA LONDON. Valid on trains arriving into London at or after 1000 (midweek). Cheaper Off Peak Day Return fares available from...

    Unbuilt Connection to London Waterloo?

Having established roughly when the turntable went, anyone able to hazard a guess as to when it was installed? Maybe when the line into Charing Cross was opened, so ~1864? Or later than that?

    Delay repay query

I'd say claim from TPE. Their 14 minute late arrival at York at 1059 (rather than 1045) meant you wouldn't have made the cancelled 1055 LNER for Doncaster / Kings Cross, had it actually run. Eight minute minimum connection time at York, so a valid connection.

    Unbuilt Connection to London Waterloo?

I'd say that what's left of the elevated turntable structure building occupies maybe two-fifths of the footprint of what it once did. Almost certainly NOT an unbuilt connection to London Waterloo

    Unbuilt Connection to London Waterloo?

Difficult to say. This 1916 OS map link hopefully gives a better idea. Sutton Walk (then known as Sutton Street) is in the upper left of the map, just to the North of the Waterloo station complex. If you zoom in, it should be possible to discern the turntable site...

    Unbuilt Connection to London Waterloo?

Believe it's the one-time site, obviously up above the street level of Sutton Walk, of what was once a 1900s era railway turntable. Some sources say the building was later re-purposed as a café.

Thanks for so confirming. See also post #4.

Permitted route Advance Single SOU - SSD

Does an Advance Single from Southampton Central to Stansted Airport, presumably routed ✠SWR & CONNECTION, not obligate the user to use the ticket on a booked train (or trains), at the very least for the first part of the journey with South Western Railway?

Issue with the Overhead Wires between Peterborough and Stevenage - 16/08/26

Reported on National Rail site that all lines in the Peterborough / Stevenage area are blocked just now. The 0837 Grand Central departure from Sunderland to London Kings Cross this morning doesn't seem to have got past York. @MboroFC. Did you have a planned journey sometime today? You may wish...

    Manchester Metrolink (Non speculative discussion)

Where on the Metrolink network are there still 5 m.p.h. temporary speed restrictions in place, and when is expected that all these various TSRs are likely to be fixed? This year? Longer than that?

Report of fire in Totley Tunnel (15/08)

Fault of some sort on a train passing through the tunnel?! The fire inside Summit tunnel between Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire in 1984 was essentially caused by a defective axle bearing, resulting in the derailment of several fuel tankers mid-tunnel, which then leaked, with the petrol...

Seat reservations compulsory London Paddington - Cardiff Sunday 16th August

Maybe all the non football match passengers who couldn't get onboard the earlier departures, will now (necessarily) be using the next available 12:45, 13:45 or 14:45 trains out of Paddington.

    BBC - are they worried?!

"What has the BBC ever done for me?", Romesh Ranganathan asks. Apart from receiving a six or maybe seven figure annual payment from the Beeb, perhaps? Nice money if you can get it!

Seat reservations compulsory London Paddington - Cardiff Sunday 16th August

Wembley Stadium has already been booked up with music concerts being performed by 'The Weeknd'. The Principality Stadium in Cardiff was one of the next biggest stadia available.
