I was on that road twice in July , on Holiday, and it was carrying Heavy Lorry and a lot of tourist traffic although its probably past its peak by now .
A couple of months ago I asked one of the train staff on the Cambrian Line if anyone had ever presented a promise to pay , and he said never had one presented . The promise to pay option only shows up at the end of the select and buy sequence which to me seems counter intuative as I had been...
Apparantly I screamed & shouted when I was about 4 yrs old and first taken to Snow Hill Station and a safety valve blew off , back in 1951. I have no recollection of it and had no problem later on with steam.
A couple of years ago I was travelling to Hereford changing at Newport. I was on a GWR train that ran late meaning I would miss the TFW connection at Newport . In the event the TFW train was cancelled . This really meant the late running of the GWR train, was irrelewant but I was advised to...
I remember a few years ago the Ledbury - Hereford line was closed when track over a culvert was found to be defective. There was a statement made that the delay in reopening was due to arrangeing supply of special size wooden sleepers
Not exactly the same but sounds very similar in the respect of the signaler loosing situational awareness and box ergonomics, to the circumstances to the Moreton on Lugg crossing incident which unfortunatey resulted in fatalities

My local bus company serving the routes I sometime use dropped out of the capping scheme a couple of years ago. So no change here just north of Hereford
A couple of times my train from Birmingham New St to Great Malvern has been cancelled, next direct train is usually 1 Hour later . Checked with ticket office & they have suggested getting the next Cardiff train from New St, changing at Worcester Parkway onto the GWR Hereford train arriving at...
Personally I have found GWR one of the better companies when claiming delay repay. In one instance their late running made me miss a connection which subsequently was cancelled. So their lateness made no difference , but as their were first I claimed off them & they paid.
