When announcements are running on some GWR 165s, I hear loud buzzing noises coming over the speakers. Sometimes it's so loud it drowns out the announcement completely. What is this ?
Take an Intercity 225 for example, like the 1D25 1739 London Kings Cross to Bradford Forster Square. There's no coach A, it starts at B, and it skips other letters as well.
Surely it should just go A, B, C, D, E, F, G? I've seen coach letters skipped on IETs as well, with both the LNER and GWR.
From today until September, Berrylands station on the SWML will have its platform replaced.
Looking at images of the platform, it is absolutely appalling! How could it have gotten this bad before action was taken?
How was it not shut down earlier under some kind of accessibility or health and...
Here's one from Saturday 25/4 that got cancelled. I sometimes see them on the departure boards at Slough!

Ah, so if someone got stuck in the lift at an unmanned station and didn't have a working phone to call 999 they would probably be screwed!
That makes sense, but how did the emergency phone fail in ALL of the lifts at once? Or does it go to some centralised location before out to emergency...
Around 18h on 28/2, all the lifts on the DLR network were taken out of service because of a communication failure. All of them!
Now what could possibly have gone wrong to take ALL the lifts down?

And the lifts haven't recovered yet! Most of the lifts are still broken!
I have a GWR ITSO smartcard and usually whack my London travelcards on there. I have had that paper ticket stop working multiple times and once it even blew onto the tracks. I have the travelcard in a wallet on my sunflower lanyard!
Why would you even let your dog sit on the seats? The same logic around not putting your feet on the seats apply here. The dog could have stepped in mud or **** and now it's tracking that on the seats...
I remember once I was on a GWR 800/802, and the PA system was dying. The automatic announcements didn't say anything until Slough and the manual one done by the driver at Paddington sounded a bit like 'Good e--nin- and wel--me abo-d th-s G-ea- W-tern R-way se-vice to D-cot Pa--way, ca-ing at...

More than 100 services have been cancelled across Wales after trains were withdrawn for safety checks following a number of fires.
The shortage of available trains will mean disruption into early next week, Transport for Wales (TfW) said.
The work was prompted by three "mechanical...
