Recently I've seen a lot of disruption on the Great and South Western Mainlines. Almost every day for the last week there has been something going on.

None of them are linked though, it's just bad luck. For example there have been a few fatalities unfortunately.

The GWML has been back to it's good old box of tricks in last month or so - after a relatively steady start to the year - with Thames Valley infrastructure failure roulette being played, which has pretty badly knocked onto GWR and Elizabeth line.

ECML is off to a great start as usual, with continuing terrible performance between Letchworth and Kings Lynn (particularly from Ely to Kings Lynn), the wires going down at Doncaster (again), and constant delays to IC trains further north causing knock-on delays.

The Waterloo to Weymouth line has definitely had a recent bad run of signalling issues impacting really badly on the service. I was caught out many times. The Brains Trust aka Control relentlessly responded by axing all New Forest stops.

And the Elizabeth line has had a few problems on the Eastern side.

It felt like the GEML was unusable a few weeks back, with major problems daily for about a week. All unlinked, just coincidental, similar to what OP is finding on the GWML
