Evening all...
My daughter is about to turn 16 and she has an 11 - 15 PAYG oyster card (with photo). Her understanding is that she can still use it until September this year whilst she is still at school
Is she correct in her assumption or do I need to buy her an 16 - 18 PAYG oyster now?
To all RPIs out there...
Today I had reason to travel on TL. On two separate services, I had an RPI.
No disrespect - just an observation but both of them looked really happy in their work (not!). In fact, one of them looked so miserable, I thought there might have been a death in the...
Somebody posted on another thread about problems with the MCB-OD crossings.
I would be very interested to find out what these are because I haven't heard of any problems with the new OD crossings in East Sussex
Good afternoon folks
I wish to travel from Kent House to Luton Airport Parkway this Saturday to meet somebody coming off the plane and wondered how I would be best to pay my way.
I have a PAYG Oyster and intend travelling via SouthEastern to Herne Hill where I can cross the platform to...
Good afternoon
I am a fairly regular off-peak traveller to Canterbury.
I wish to travel from Penge East to Canterbury West on Saturday. Usually, I catch the Orpington service and change there for a direct onward connection (or Sevenoaks) as it's cheaper because I buy a "not via London"...
Good evening
319.009 was heading for Bedford this morning from (I presume) Wolverton following overhaul.
Can anyone provide the actual working please? I did try RTT but it gave me an error message
With 319's being hot news at present and some talk on their pantographs, has got me thinking.
When built, 319.001 - 060 all had Stone Faiveley pantographs fitted. Many were replaced with high speed Brecknell Willis at some point or other. What has been the reason for the change and has this...
Hi folks
This afternoon, I was driving along the South Circular near Woolwich (A205 in London for those who don't know the area) and spotted a MetCam Circle Line "C" stock driving coach on a low loader. Car Number 5720.
Can anyone tell me where it was going please?
Many moons ago, I seem to remember only corridor stock being allowed through the narrow single bore tunnels under Shakespeare Cliff.
Why are Javelins allowed through?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I understand the automotive branch of Unipart has gone into administration. Is Unipart Dorman, Unipart Rail etc a separate entity altogether or are these likely to run into difficulties?
Good afternoon
In terms of ticketing, what is the natural route for a passenger travelling from New Beckenham (on the Hayes line) to Tunbridge Wells? This is a serious question, reasons I will disclose once people start giving answers.
On Saturday, I was waiting for a train at Mitcham Junction.
A man walking up the opposite platform caught my eye.
He walked to the end of the platform and jumped down on the track. BTW, he had headphones in his ears.
Without looking, he started to cross the line and purposely stepped...
I understand this has been delayed for a third time now (or perhaps indefinately?) as the scheme should have been commissioned on 12th/13th April.
Is the only reason for the delay due to the LiDAR (and/or RADAR) not working properly at the level crossings or are there other reasons too...
I was out yesterday and happened to notice 319.362 recently had a fresh coat of paint on the cab at one end only. Had this been in an accident recently?
