Unless you have a lot of luggage I find it quicker to take the Met to Finchley Road and double back to West Hampstead particularly if you are at the front of the Met train and having gone up the stairs and changed platforms at Finchley Road you walk towards the other end of the platform to be at...
That would be my understanding about the interavailability between LU Baker Street / Chiltern Marylebone. it’s really despite the Maltese Cross whether Jubilee from Finchley Road to Bond Street then Lizzy line is valid.
Trying to plan a trip for my partner from Rickmansworth to Reading return on Thursday. The Off Peak Day return @ £21.40 would appear to allow travel on the 0922 Chiltern service to Marylebone and then Bakerloo to Paddington. She would however prefer to travel with a group of friends who hold...
Just to confirm I didn't use contactless because of Oystercard has a railcard added, I just asked whether there would be an issue IF contactless had been used. I also assume this is one of the few journeys where a doubling back is quicker. Hopefully not too long before a railcard discount can be...
Had I used contactless and my bank card was checked between KCN & SEV or as I doubled back would this have affected the contactless fare I would be charged between Rickmansworth & Knockholt?
Today I travelled from Rickmansworth via London Bridge to Knockholt using an Oyster card (with a railcard discount). One option on TFL Journey Planner was to take a fast train to Sevenoaks and the double back to KCK. I took this option, could I have been penalty fared or reported for prosecution...
Presumably taking Mildmay & Lioness lines changing at Willesden Junction would have been valid but you would probably miss your booked train at Watford Junction
If Valleys Day is before 13th Feb do sign up to iproov, I suspect very few cattle class passengers where aware of the system so I don’t think the standard check in will be any the worse from 13th Feb
The OP’s daughter maybe ought to consider a Young Persons Railcard and Oyster rather than contactless if any of her journeys from Ricky to zone 1 are off peak saving £1.60 each time
Not great seat availability people are creatures of habit and certain cars are busier than others usually not so busy that you can’t walk through and find a seat, some days are however less busy than others.
I think you will find Langley to Moor Park then Tottenham Hale quite a long commute. Getting through Moor Park estate to the station can be slow particularly in term time, Met fast trains only in the peaks make off peak travel tediously slow.
I booked First Class Advance Tickets months ago for travel between Paddington & Cardiff for Next Week with a disabled Railcard to a conference which has now been cancelled, I wish I could pass them on to somebody who could use them preferably making a donation to a railway charity.
Thanks for that, that was one of the problems for the late running when we finally got to Moosburg the driver said the latest delay was further down the line towards Munich where on a construction site a fibre optic signal cable had been cut. This was confirmed when a Czech train arrived and...
Does anybody have a paid zugfinder account or know of anywhere to find historical timings of German trains. I'm trying to find the name of the station train RE2 (4859) terminated after a long delay on 1st August, scheduled departure from Regensburg at 1040hrs. Then after a long wait we...
Sign up for iproov which is free and jump all the queues worked for me just walk to business premier section straight through in a couple of minutes last Tuesday
If tickets are ordered via a TOC App and paid using Apple Pay if the TVM has a contactless card reader can this be touched to release the tickets or does a payment card have to be inserted?
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
